Which Model Of Firefly Do I Have?

The Firefly electric wheelchair attachment has been in production for over 10 years. Here's quick guide to determine which model of Firefly you have and if after service parts are still available for your unit.

Firefly Gen 1 (16" spoke wheel)      

Years in production: 2009~2012

Color: Painted silver or painted dark matte grey

Frame: cro-moly steel

Connection type: 4 frame clamps and spring loaded couplers

Brakes: V-brakes only

Status: discontinued (no longer stocking service parts)

Firefly Gen 1 (same frame as above only uses a 12" cast alloy wheel)

Years in production: 2012~2015

Color: Painted silver

Frame: cro-moly steel

Connection type: 4 frame clamps and spring loaded couplers

Brakes: V-brakes (single or dual) or Dual Disc calipers on the same disc rotor

Status: discontinued (no longer stocking service parts)

*Note: All Gen 1 Firefly's can be easily identified by the 4 point attachment clamps to the chair. They may use a silver 12" or 16" wheel. The frame is made of cro-moly steel and a magnet "will" stick to the frame if touched.

Firefly Gen 2 (12" cast alloy wheel in black color)

Years in production: 2015~2020

Color: Anodized bright silver

Frame: T6 Aluminum Alloy

Connection type: 2 frame clamps and a rocking coupler plate lever

Brakes: 1 V-brake & 1 disc brake

Status: discontinued (still stocking service parts)

*Note: All Gen 2 Firefly's can be easily identified by the 2 attachment clamps to the chair. They only used a black 12" cast motor wheel. They may come equipped with rounded or square tube corners. The frame is made of aluminum alloy and a magnet will "not" stick to the frame if touched.
