Introducing the New Folding Kickstand for Summer '26

We developed the clamp kickstand in late 2018 after receiving feedback from a dealer who had improvised a solution using wheelchair brake‑mount clamps and two walker legs to create makeshift kickstands for our coupler tubes. From the beginning, we knew any new design needed to remain reverse‑compatible with both the Firefly 2.0 and the current Firefly 2.5.

As time went on, customers continued asking for a folding option that would make it easier to quickly store the U‑bar in a trunk while taking up less space. To explore this, we partnered with an adaptive‑technology university student to help co‑design a new folding kickstand. Although the concept was elegant, the tooling and mold costs would have made it too expensive to produce. Instead, we took the core idea and refined it into a more affordable, simpler, and easier‑to‑use design. In total, we went through 12~15 different 3D models and roughly 8~10 CNC prototypes before arriving at a version that met the needs of both our customers and our service technicians.
