Has your kickstand been slipping or rotating?
Our first kickstand design had a tendency to slip and rotate around the coupler tube they are attached to, even when the kickstand's clamp is fully tightened. We've found that placing adhesive-backed rubber silicone pads inside the clamp helps keep the kickstands from slipping, moving forward all our Firefly 2.5 units come with these kickstand pads installed.
Why is the kickstand important?
Our Firefly 2.5 comes equipped with two "kickstands" - rigid legs that attach to the unit and allow it to stand upright when removed from your wheelchair. These kickstands make it easier to attach and remove the Firefly from your wheelchair and help keep it from falling over and possibly getting damaged.
